It’s all simply a matter of knowing which Thanksgiving foods are safe and which aren’t. You can safely enjoy a Thanksgiving feast with your dog so long as you’re particular and strict with the food that you’re allowed to share. To help you, we’d enlist seven delicious foods that are absolutely safe to share with your dog!
1. Potatoes – potatoes are good for your dog. Just ensure that the ones they would get are free from salt, pepper, sour cream, and butter. You should also serve in moderation.
2. Sweet potatoes – sweet potatoes are packed with vitamins and fiber so it’s always healthy for your dog to have some. Just make sure that you’d serve ones with no additional ingredients. Cooked sweet potatoes with no skin will be perfect!
3. Turkey meat (NO SKIN and NO BONE) – you can share Turkey meat with your dog! Just make sure that it’s free from any seasoning!
4. Apples – your dog will enjoy eating apples during Thanksgiving! Just ensure that all its seeds are removed as such can be toxic. Serving in small portions is best.
5. Plain peas – serve ones without cream! Your dogs will love them!
6. Green beans – green beans with no spices or butter will be perfect for your dog. It’s filled with so many vitamins, minerals, and fiber so serving them will make your dog healthier!
7. Pumpkin – this is a very healthy snack option. If you’re serving canned pumpkin, be sure that you’re sharing one that is not pre-spiced.
