Happy Easter! The Lord has risen! Coincidentally, Jesus was saved as well. A dog named Jesus, that is.
This year’s Good Friday brought a different kind of salvation and it involved a dog named Jesus. This Jesus was saved from drowning on a Good Friday.

The 2019 fresh take on salvation happened in Birmingham. Fire rescuers from Sutton Coldfield rescued Jesus from drowning in a lake in Sutton Park.
Jesus struggled for 30 minutes with people seeing him sinking and reappearing. Onlookers contemplated jumping on the water to save Jesus but alas, the fire rescuers arrived. It only took five minutes for the fire rescuers to save the day. The rescuers used a personal flotation device and a triple extension ladder to reach and save Jesus.
Upon posting, Twitter was abuzz and the post quickly became viral. People did not pass the chance to point out the coincidence.
Most Twitters pointed out how Jesus the dog was only testing his skills to walk on water. On Jesus the dog’s case though, the divine skill wasn’t present.
One user highlighted how Jesus the dog was saved in more ways than one in a Good Friday.
All were touched by the story and a lot of the reactions were exclamation of gratitude. One reply is notable for it hinted for everyone to take note as Jesus might reappear on Monday.
Thank God indeed, for fire rescuers who are always there to save the day. And thank God for dogs and their hearts of gold and divine ability to just be 24/7 adorable. Case in point, we have Jesus the dog, who managed to touch a lot of hearts with his salvation story while still managing to be cute and adorable.
Apart from the gratitude and joy that the fire crew experienced from saving Jesus, they were also grateful that no onlookers were careless to risk their lives by entering the freezing waters. They are glad that there are no extra casualties and took the chance to remind everyone that in risky situations similar to such, it’s best to wait for rescuers who have the complete set of tools to safely rescue animals. Carry on, Jesus the dog! Carry on and spread the good news!
