Amanda Tromp, a photographer, rescued a Husky that later saved her from an abusive relationship. She named the rescued Husky “Kyro”.
According to her when she adopted Kyro she was in an abusive relationship, in which she has lost all her hope of escaping. Kyro became her excuse to go on adventures and escape the circumstance.
Eventually, he left her ex due to him starting to target Kyro with his rage. Kyro was and is her world and she couldn’t bear to see anything happen to him. She has found a deep passion for photography after several months of being out in the situation and adventuring around with Kyro.
Capturing their travels together became her inspiration and gave her the bravery to seek out happiness and strength once again. She found their everyday adventures to become a healing process that began to repair her inside and out.
Her mother has given them a nickname “Goldilocks and the Wolf”. With her long blonde hair and Kyro’s Agouti coloring – the name just stuck. It even became her Instagram name as well as the name of her photography enterprise.
Through the lens of her camera, she attempted to capture the fairytale moments they were seeing in their journey. Fairytales are certainly better when you have a blue-eyed hero covered in fur, that’s what she said. Together they’ve learned to cease and appreciate even the most simple of moments.
She has caught Kyro so many times just sitting and watching the world around him. With Kyro by his side, she has learned to be brave and try things she has not considered before like waking up at 3AM to hike a mountain and just watch the sun crest over there.
Kyro’s happiness and her happiness have become reflections of another. Focusing on photography has really opened her eyes to the world around her.
Colors, sights, and places look a lot more vibrant and full of life. The wonder around her has absorbed her into a constant state of Wanderlust. Kyro raised a shroud from her life. He tore back all of my fears and actually saw right into my soul. He showed me the person I could not see inside myself. He has helped her to grow and become the person I have always wanted to be.
