Dogs have an incredible innate ability to sense when something is wrong. In most situations, they are always the first ones to alert us of impending danger. Many videos on the internet show how these brave animals save people every now and then from certain death and the dog in this featured story is no different.
When a dangerous fire spread in the neighborhood of Vista Ladera in Laguna Niguel, California, it was an unlikely hero who saved one family just before their house went up in flames. Teddy, a tiny white dog, was in his home with his owners when the fire started in their garage.
When the fire started spreading throughout the house, Teddy’s owners, a family of four, were all asleep. Teddy took it to himself to warn the family of the impending danger by waking them from their sleep—he was frantic but determined to warn his family about the fire. With Teddy’s warning, the family soon realized the danger and quickly evacuated the house.
However, in the middle of all the confusion and panic, the family failed to take the heroic dog with them. Teddy was left inside the burning house, and his owners feared the worst. Firefighters soon arrived at the scene, and after 40 grueling minutes, they managed to stop the fire from spreading further, and they were finally able to put it out.
The firefighters were also able to save the hero—Teddy. He was found hiding inside the house, and thankfully he was well and unharmed. Teddy’s owners were ecstatic to see him safe and sound, owing their survival to their beloved dog. Had it not for Teddy’s warning, the family would not have known about the fire as they were fast asleep.
