If ever you step foot in Seattle, you’d probably hear about Eclipse, a 2-year old black labrador. As famous as she is, meeting someone like her is definitely hard. Why? This is because she can do something most if not all dogs can’t do.
Eclipse has been painting smiles on the faces of the riders of Seattle’s public transit system every day. Out of 120 million transit riders each year, Eclipse is one of them and surprisingly, she didn’t just do it once or twice, but it became her routine.
Dogs are naturally intelligent, but Eclipse had brought the game of animal intelligence into the next level. Eclipse has become a regular rider of the Seattle’s D-Line bus after figuring out how to ride one. Of course, her destination is in her happy place, a dog park.
Everything all started when Eclipse and her owner was waiting for a bus. Her dog owner was taking too long to finish his cigarette that Eclipse got bored. When a bus arrived and her owner isn’t done yet, she got to the bus by herself and got off just when the bus is at the dog park. This event doesn’t just happen once that Eclipsed has already mastered the art of riding a bus and going down to where she should head out. What is amazing is that she doesn’t just ride, she sits too as if she’s a real human. Her gesture amazes everyone who sees her. Besides, almost all bus drivers know her.
Eclipse and her owner lives near the bus station. According to her owner, if Eclipse is missing, for sure, she is already riding a bus or perhaps, has arrived at her destination already. Aside from riding a bus, Eclipse also knows how to walk on the sidewalk.
This might be something out of the ordinary but bus riders, drivers, and operators are all loving it. Who wouldn’t, right?
