Jada the Pit Bull mix once had a loving family, until her fur dad passed away. Her fur mom, Deborah Warren, was so distraught at the loss of her husband. She really struggled to move on with her life without her husband, and taking care of Jada became a burden for her. Sadly, she made a decision to surrender Jada to a shelter at Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana because of depression.
Later on, Deborah realized that she had made a wrong decision in bringing Jada to the shelter. She wanted to get Jada back. However, the shelter where she brought the dog had closed down. There was no way for her to get Jada anymore because she knew that the dogs in the shelter would be subjected to euthanasia.
Deborah didn’t know that Northshore Humane Society rescued seven dogs from the shelter that closed down, and one of them was Jada. While the shelter staff knew that it would be a challenge to find an adopter for Jada because of her old age, they were determined to find a home for her because of her sweet and loving personality.
Unfortunately, Jada wasn’t noticed by potential adopters. Jada had been in the shelter for a year already but the shelter staff were not giving up. They posted Jada’s photos and videos on social media to find a family for her.
The shelter staff also noticed that Jada would always cry at the shelter. It was very obvious that she was not happy there. They did everything to keep Jada comfortable, but it seemed that nothing worked for her. Instead, she became more depressed as the days went by.
A shelter staff posted a tear-jerking video of Jada on social media which caught the attention of Deborah’s family. They were sure that it was Jada, and they wanted to bring her home.
Deborah’s son, Josh LaBarge, decided to adopt Jada. His family drove for a couple of hours to get Jada. Deborah went with her son’s family too.
Jada immediately lit up when she saw familiar faces. She immediately ran towards Deborah. Jada couldn’t stop wagging her tail. She was very happy to be reunited with her family.
No more tears for Jada!
