The story touched everyone’s heart when a Twitter user posted a letter that her dad received during work. It didn’t take minutes for the post to get viral for it had enormous amounts of tender and gentle heartbreaking love.
The dad in the story is Mr. Fernando Barboza. Mr. Barboza is a postman from Texas. Every day at work, he would bring treats for all the dogs that he meets around his route. One of these dogs happen to be Gretchen.
Gretchen passed away and Mr. Barboza found out about it in a letter that Gretchen’s owner gave him. The letter said: “Gretchen passed away yesterday. She asked me to ask you if you would share her treats that she never got to finish with the other dogs on your route. She always enjoyed seeing you come to the door and was always happy to get a snack from you.
Thank you,
The Cimino Family”
The letter was attached to the bag of treats that the family gave to Mr. Barboza. Mr. Barboza felt emotional and immediately shared the photo of the letter to his kids. Ailyn, his daughter, took a screenshot of the message and shared it to her followers on Twitter. It has been touching and breaking the hearts of many since then.
