While dogs can quickly learn how to use a door, the same cannot be said for electrical appliances. After all, these devices can be much more complicated to understand. That was why when this adorable dog from England recently discovered the concept of turning their lamp on and off, she decides to flex her newfound power in the most amusing way.
When fur mom Natalie Hart welcomed Slug into her home in Cornwall, she immediately realized just how much of a goofball the small pup was. She would always catch Slug climbing onto her flowerpots and doing all sorts of crazy shenanigans. Just recently, though, Natalie saw the pooch making her funniest mischief yet.
Slug and her fur mom were hanging out in their living room that night when the dog noticed a fly wandering about. Determined to catch the intruder, Slug immediately got on her feet and chased the fly to a nearby cabinet. The insect then rested on a touch lamp, giving the pup the perfect opportunity to attack.
However, the moment Slug’s snout made contact with the lamp, the room immediately went dark. The pup was so confused with what was happening that she let out a tiny bark and decided to hit the light again. Once she did, the lamp instantly turned on.
The dog then looked at her fur mom with a baffled look on her face and waited for an explanation. However, Natalie simply giggled at her puppy’s curious reaction and let her find out on her own. When Slug knew she wasn’t going anywhere with Natalie, she decided to go ahead and boop her nose on the lamp again.
Eventually, the pup understood the concept of the magical lamp and began abusing her newfound power to create a disco atmosphere in the room. Natalie, on the other hand, was doubling over in laughter at the sidelines and recording the whole ordeal on her camera. Watch Slug’s hilarious touch lamp session here.
