Jackson is a six-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd that lives with his mom, Emilie Talermo. The young woman, a resident of San Francisco, absolutely adored her pet. He meant the world to her, and they spent most of their time being next to each other.
When Jackson was stolen from their home, Emilie was crushed. She did everything that she could to find him. She even went to extreme measures to get her dog back home. The worried pet owner flew a banner over the city, raised 11,000 dollars for reward money, and even created a Tinder account for the pup.
Every day that Jackson was missing, she felt the void inside her growing larger.
370 miles away
Four months after Jackson went missing, Emilie received the call she had long been waiting for. An employee from an animal shelter in Palmdale, 370 miles away, said that they had her pet. Someone dropped the dog in their facility, and the staff found the dog’s microchip.
Emilie asked for a photo, and sure enough, it was her missing pooch. She burst into tears as soon as she realized that her dog was finally found.
Unfortunately, Emilie’s car was broken, and she couldn’t drive to pick up Jackson. But thankfully, a kind detective from the San Francisco Police Department, the officer assigned to her case, offered to get the dog.
Emotional reunion
After a couple of days, Jackson arrived early in the morning. Both owner and pet were extremely excited to see each other. In a video capturing the emotional reunion, the pooch was seen leaping into Emilie’s arms, and he kissed her face repeatedly. The happy lady was laughing and crying at the same time.
Soon after the dog’s return, the cops arrested the man who stole Jackson. With the community’s help, they found the thief and compiled enough evidence to file a case against him.
