Angels are all around us this Christmas season. Look no further then this video of a man saving a dog from an elevator mishap! It’s so amazing that it now has 15.5 million views, 137k likes, and 30.3k retweets on Twitter alone!
For starters, those in a sensitive headspace must be warned that the video may be triggering as it involves an actual danger that was successfully deflected through the grace of God and the help of the angels in the man of a heroic gentleman from Houston, Texas.
It was just a normal walk outdoors for the dog and its owner, when the almost fatal instance took place. In the video, the dog is lead by its owner on their way back home.
What is manifest in the video is the fact that the dog’s leash is extra long. It’s so long that those watching the video will not be immediately aware that the dog is following its owner.
The long leash is partly the reason as to how and why the dog got into an almost fatal accident. It is understandable though for owners to keep long leash for their dogs as long leashes give dogs more space and more time to wander about during walk outdoors.
In this case however, it lead to an almost fatal accident for as the leash is long, it took longer for the dog to follow its owner. As seen in the video, come the time the owner has entered the elevator, the dog was still wandering about.
So much so that the elevator already closed while the dog was still outside with the leash being held by its owner. The elevator was headed up a higher level and the dog would’ve smashed into its doors.
Thankfully, Johnny Mathis was around! He got dropped by the elevator as the dog’s owner was getting in. Through God’s work and angels’ guidance, he saw the dog just in time before it got dragged up by its leash.
In the video, it can be seen how Johnny Mathis instantly reached for the dog. In seconds, he was able to successfully remove the leash and save dog! Thank God!
Let this incident serve as a reminder to owners to please be extra careful and aware when walking their dogs. Always make sure that they are within you pace and are steer cleared from danger.
