A former stray dog used to live a coarse life on the streets. Thanks to her new owners for rescuing her from a tragic event. Kuta now enjoys her new life, having her daily swim with some dolphins.
Erin Cummings and her two-year-old rescue dog enjoy their life under the sun and on the white sand beaches in the coastal town of Esperance, Western Australia. Kuta truly lives her dream life. But it is not only the playful waves of the water she enjoys; she made new friends with some local dolphins.
A group of dolphins visited the coastal shore one day. After seeing the pods swim happily together, Kuta could not hold back and immediately leaped onto the water to check their cute fins. The dolphins seemed to play along with Kuta, giving her a nudge.
Many dolphins visited the beach, as many as forty in a group. But it was not only the pods of dolphins that made friends with Kuta; some local seals even enjoyed playing with the dog, too! Kuta was riding on a paddleboard when one cute seal quickly appeared and started to swim around her.
At first, Erin was hesitant to allow her rescue dog to follow her innate instinct, but after seeing Kuta enjoy swimming with her newly found friends, she gave in. Kuta enjoys playing and swimming with the seal, and they become best friends. But not only pods of dolphins and cute seals wander on the water of the Esperance beach.
The coast is also the home of sharks. It is not uncommon to see them lurking on the water. Not long ago, a giant shark circled a snorkeling diver, and in another tragic event in October 2014, one shark attacked the surfer, which caused him to lose both arms.
After knowing the surfer’s tragic story, Erin also considered the safety of her pet dog. But the dolphins and the seals made Kuta feel safe in the water. Seeing Kuta happy swimming with her friends matters most to Erin.
