Do you believe in angels?
Well, we here at Playfuldogs.info do. And here is proof that they exist.
On a very cold December night, Harbor Humane Society was made witness to the fact that angels are among us. This was through kindly humans that rescued an abandoned dog inside a zip-locked crate left in a portable toilet.
The incident happened in Ottawa County and the poor dog involved is a sweet and smart “pibble”. Pibble is what volunteers in Harbor Humane Society use to refer to pit bull-type dogs. The term is kindly and effectively removes the stigma that pit-bull type dogs have been unfairly receiving.
The poor pibble that is now under the care of Harbor Humane Society is now named Jon. He is currently on stray hold for seven days. He will be up for adoption after the stray hold period. And we are glad to report that numerous dog lovers have already offered to adopt him!
Jon underwent a medical check-up and he was found to be in good health. Volunteers also noted how extremely sweet and smart he is. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, and even ones with his toys. He is very friendly and well-mannered.
Ottawa County is still investigating the entire incident. It is the first time that such an incident took place and they are determined to look for the suspect. Jon would have died if not found, he was left locked inside a crate with no food or water in a public toilet in a park. Good thing kind angels saw him and quickly brought him to Harbor Humane Society.
Harbor Humane Society pleads for all to be responsible dog owners. They stressed how their organization is there to help not only abandoned dogs but also struggling owners who can’t provide for food and basic necessities by giving resources, goods, and even training.
It’s 2020 now and it’s about time for all dog owners to be fully intelligent and responsible. We are so happy for Jon! What a good boy! We are all rooting for you to quickly find your forever home!
