In Tucson, Arizona, a Labrador Retriever has finally reunited with his family after missing for several days.
According to Southwest Oasis Lab Rescue, they found the dog with no tags on his collar and initially appeared as if deliberately abandoned at a park.
Jon Harmon, the owner of the dog named Marcus, said that those tags were being replaced the same day as he ran away and escaped.
The family was not sure if they would ever find and see their dog again after missing for three days. Harmon said that he really thought it was over, and Marcus’ last hours could have been traumatic.
However, the family didn’t give up. They searched the neighborhood, but with no luck, so Harmon took to Facebook to find Marcus.
That’s when Harmon saw Southwest Oasis Lab Rescue’s Facebook post about the missing pooch.

According to Gigi Tambure, the SOLR Home Visit Coordinator, they posted the story of the dog, how it was found and that they’re looking for the owners.
Harmon knew that it was Marcus when the dog was initially identified as female. Marcus got diagnosed with a tumor on his lower abdomen, but the family decided to let him live out his happy life than to risk surgery considering his age.
“We kept all your stuff buddy, we knew you were coming back,” Harmon said to Marcus when they finally reunited.
Marcus’ unique story touched everyone, and one could tell that his family loves him. And even though Harmon initially thought that there was no hope, he didn’t give up on finding his beloved dog.
Harmon shared that Marcus is their go-to person when he and his family are down. Marcus keeps them positive, and they’re really thankful and happy that he’s now safely back to them.
