Prue Barber is the founder of Mission Paws’ible, and she has rescued over 50 dogs in Bali. Prue was out on a mission one day, which led her to a local school.
There she saw a tiny dog who immediately ran away when she saw Prue coming. The tiny thing stumbled on its own feet and rolled on its back.
Prue was able to pick her up. She could see that the dog was trying to fight back, but it was too weak. The dog was opening its mouth in protest over what Prue was doing to her.
Prue immediately brought her to the vet so she can be treated for any medical issues that she has. Most of Prue’s rescue would stay in the clinic for a couple of days until they are strong enough to come home with her.
But the dog that she named Sadie was different. Prue knew that Sadie would not survive if she will leave her in the clinic. That’s why Prue decided to bring her home that very day.
Prue understands that dogs need more than just medical care. They need love and attention. They also need sunlight and fresh air.
Prue was able to provide Sadie all of that in her home. Even with all the attention, it took a while for Sadie to open up.
When she finally did on her 3rd week, Prue saw how bright her personality was. She was then ready for her adoption. Prue posted Sadie’s story online, and she eventually ended up getting adopted.
Unfortunately, the woman called only a few hours later that she is unable to take care of Sadie. Prue went back to get Sadie and realized that the best place for her was with Prue.
Prue is very happy that she gets to keep the little fighter that is Sadie. Sadie gives so much joy to her and the rest of the family.
