It’s hard to believe that stories like this exist. But it’s a sad fact of life that there are dog owners that heartlessly dump healthy senior dogs for younger puppies. Luckily, this story ends with a happy and loving note as our dog here found a new loving forever home.
We have here Munchkin, a senior Corgi who happens to be 10-year-old and still full of joy and vitality. He was almost euthanized because his owners intended to have a new puppy in their household. Luckily, the vet that was supposed to euthanize Munchkin intervened.
Upon checking Munchkin, the local vet found out that the 10-year-old dog is perfectly healthy with a wonderful cheery disposition. As an authorized professional, the vet asked Munchkin’s former owner to surrender him instead of having him put down. Thankfully, Munchkin’s former owners agreed.
Upon surrender, the vet gave Munchkin to a local shelter. His story gained lots of attention and touched thousands of hearts. A lot of people lined up to have him adopted but it was Michelle Padilla who got lucky and had the amazing chance of giving Munchkin his forever home.
Michelle Padilla shared how energetic, healthy, cheerful, and loving Munchkin is. She finds it crazy how his former owner opted to have him put down given that Munchkin is such a fun-loving and sweet dog. Padilla already had a senior dog before Munchkin and she’s glad to report that the two are getting along so well. She’s so happy the vet was there to save Munchkin.
Padilla in an interview stressed how people should go out of their way to adopt senior dogs. She requested everyone to please consider giving senior dogs a chance for they deserve all the love in the world as much as the young ones.
