Megan Clemens was out on her usual walk around her neighborhood in Nashville, Tennessee. With her was her Pomeranian Stanley when something caught her attention.
Across the other side of the road, it seemed like there’s a missing pet sign attached to a telephone pole. However, when she went toward the sign, the message on it warmed at the same time broke her heart.
Clemens said she always tried to stop and look at the sign just in case. But when she began reading it, it was then she realized it wasn’t that typical sign of a missing dog. Her heart ached. However, the words were very bittersweet that it brought tears to her eyes.
Clemens eventually recognized the pup on the “lost dog” poster as Buster. Buster was the jolly Golden Retriever Clemens had seen on some of her walks with Stanley. She said Buster was that type of sweet older dog whom anyone could definitely have the nerve to stop and greet him. Buster was absolutely as interested in greeting people as he also was to other dogs.
Clemens hadn’t seen a commemoration like that ever since. Hence, it made her stay a bit closer to it along with Stanley.
The headline of the poster says, “Loved Dog: Buster.” The rest of the message emphasized how Buster truly loved his owner and so did she to him. He loved the water, plush toys, chicken, avocados, playing balls, running, and meeting new friends (be it people or dogs). But the very best of all was that Buster loved his owner. He never failed to forgive her, comfort her (even for days when he was sick), protect her, accept her, and stand by her side. Buster’s owner ended her message by saying, “May you find a love that does the same.”
Elizabeth King was Buster’s owner. Buster happened to be King’s permanent companion ever since he was a seven-year-old dog, bringing her happiness each and every day. Even though Buster suffered from cancer last spring, he still didn’t want his mom to feel sad.
According to King, during the entire time that Buster was sick, he’s still very willing to go on their usual walks and comfort her. It was so difficult for King because she wanted to be strong for Buster. She wanted to be brave for him. But instead, he was going to be the one who gave her that strength.
After Buster passed away, King began to think of the best way to inform her neighbors who had also grown to love Buster. To make a commemorative poster became King’s best way to give tribute to Buster’s life.
King said that the time she got Buster, she remembered someone on social media who had made a poster for his pup and it said “Loved.” She found it so cute and a great way to commemorate your dog. With that, she hasn’t forgotten it.
King wishes the commemoration helps continue Buster’s purpose while he was still alive, that is, making the people he met to feel loved and special, even if it’s just for quite a bit.
King said she wants everyone to know that they deserve to be loved and experience the same kind of love Buster had given to her and the people he met, regardless of whether it’s coming from a dog. Because it is life-changing to be loved in that same way.

With the isolation thing going on I have turned to Facebook for videos for animals, dogs are my favorite. I wouldn’t be able not own an animal for very long. Look into any animals face and you can see emotions… Thats when I starting talking to what ever animal I’m connecting with at the moment. Life is precious to me in all sorts of animals. Share with others who find the same joy in life.
