A pit bull named Hank was surprisingly able to survive in the forest and return home after being caught in an animal trap in the woods. Having been lost for 20 days in the woods, Hank returned home on Christmas Day after taking desperate steps to rescue himself.
The dog owner, Logan Langley, woke up one morning and noticed that the door was unlocked and Hank was nowhere to be found. Logan believes that Hank may have been caught in a snare near his house in Foley, Alabama, and the dog had to munch on his leg to get himself free and get home safely.
When Hank returned home on Christmas Day, he had lost 50 pounds and had a wounded foot.
Logan informed a local animal rescue that his lost dog had returned home, but he was injured, and something odd happened with one of his limbs.
Hank was taken to the veterinary clinic for treatment, where the vet suspected the same thing Logan believed. Hank had to resort to desperate measures to get out.
The dog underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.
Luckily, The Logan family, who owns the Pit Bull, could collect the funds needed for Hank’s treatment.
Logan always believed that his dog would return home. He was sure that no matter what the dog had to do to return home, he would do that. Logan believed that even if someone had adopted Hank, the dog would not stay there for long and come back.
It is popularly known that Pit Bulls are vicious animals; on the contrary, they are loyal and affectionate creatures. They make special attachments to their owners and provide long-lasting companionship.
