People enjoy watching K9 dogs complete agility courses. They usually are serious and seem like you shouldn’t mess with them. That is why nobody anticipated seeing a cool dog wearing goggles race through the same course. But how did this dog do against other competitive canines?
A dog named Simon was the first to go through the final course in an agility competition. Officer Michael Garber is his handler, and they have worked together for three years. How quickly did they complete the course?
Simon completed the first two sections of the course quickly. He made a tremendous leap to open a hefty door. Then, he effortlessly maneuvered through a web of bungee ropes.
Until he reached the final section, Simon believed that the task was simple and easy. Upon reaching the last part, he had to grasp a ball linked to a rope and pull the door with it. Because he did not understand what he had to do, the handler had to pause for one minute so they could finish that part.
Team Simon was followed by Team Rony. Rony is being handled by Deputy Brad Larsen, who has equipped the dog with protective goggles. Rony wears it to work in order to protect his eyes and to appear cool.
Team Rony is from Utah, so they are accustomed to battling through thick vegetation during missions. However, it took them some time to traverse the web of bungee cords. Additionally, Rony was slower when going through the tunnels.
Rony was unsure about what to do with the ball. However, unlike Simon who had also trouble with the ball, Rony was eventually able to complete the task. With one more door to unlock, Rony was in the final section of the course.
The only remaining task was to chew through a suit and return to the finish line. A few commands were required to get the dog’s attention. Team Rony won by 12 seconds in the end.
