A family living on a farm in rural America was surprised to see a dog walking up their yard. They wondered where the canine came from as no houses were near their property. The nearest neighbor was several miles away from them. The dog looked friendly and healthy, so they assumed she wasn’t a stray.
To figure out the mystery, Jayke, the homeowner and mother of a little two-year-old boy, took a photo of the dog and posted it on social media. She shared the pictures on a local Facebook group dedicated to lost pets. What she learned broke her heart.
Unwanted
Jayke’s post was shared numerous times, and eventually, a lady who knew the lost pooch made a comment. She said the dog’s name was Bubbles, and she belonged to her aunt. They have had her for seven years and don’t want their pet anymore.
Jayke was shocked by what she read and felt really sorry for Bubbles. She cried and couldn’t believe how someone could turn their back on an animal that they had considered a part of their family for so long. At that moment, she decided to keep the poor pooch.
The farmer’s wife said that she wanted to make sure that Bubbles wouldn’t be given up by anyone ever again.
Part of the family
Bubbles immediately became comfortable with his new situation. She became best friends with the family’s other dog and their toddler Louie. The little boy adored their new pet and would play with her for hours.
And although Jayke’s husband didn’t like to take another dog with him when he worked, he quickly grew fond of their new pet. Every day, Bubbles would join him in the field and even ride the tractor. She would also run carefree in the vast property.
Destiny led Bubbles to her new family, knowing she would be happy there.
