Abandoned dogs live a life of fear and full of uncertainty. They become terrified of almost everything, even to the people who wanted only what’s best for them. It is usually difficult to earn their trust.
This is what happens to a dog that was abandoned by his owner in a public parking lot. The poor thing has been living under cars for the last seven months. He was sick and was living a hard life. Fortunately, a concerned citizen saw the poor mutt and called the Hope For Paws an organization that aims in rescuing dogs that are victims of abuse, neglect and left behind.
When the rescue team from Hope For Paws arrived, they saw the dog lying under a car. He was resting and making himself comfortable in an otherwise uncomfortable home. The team immediately started working. However, the dog has lost his faith in humanity and took the people some time to gain the poor dog’s trust.
Eventually, hunger and thirst made the dog come closer and started eating the treats given to him. When one of the rescuers tried to catch him, he ran and even panicked in fear. But eventually, he relaxed and also allowed one of them to touch him.
Once they got him on a leash, they checked him for any microchip. They found none. They brought the homeless dog, whom they called Aaron, to the clinic, and found him to be infested with lice and suffering from mange.
You can watch the whole rescue mission at the video below.
After a few days, Aaron seemed to enjoy the attention he is getting. He looks happy and can make new friends in the shelter.
There are still dogs out there that need rescuing. Thanks to Hope For Paws for giving Aaron a second chance in life.
