Brittany met her fur baby years ago through her friend who works at a fire station in Calgary, Alberta. There was a stray pooch there who sought shelter at the fire station, and she gave birth to eight puppies. Brittany and her friend called a local rescue group to come and collect the puppers. However, when the rescuers got there, two of the puppies went missing.
It turned out that the two wandering puppers were hiding behind the bushes. But instead of calling the rescue group again, Brittany and her friend decided to adopt them. Brittany named her puppy Rosco. What she didn’t know at this point, is that her new fur baby will be paying her kindness back tenfold after several years.
When that fateful day arrived, Brittany decided to go on a last-minute camping trip up the mountains. However, her dad, Bryan, decided to pass on the trip as he felt tired that day. So he just stayed at home with their doggo Rosco.
Bryan just laid in bed and watched football on the TV. When he tried to get up and go to the washroom, he realized that he couldn’t move the left part of his body and he fell to the floor as he rolled off the bed. Bryan knew that he was having a stroke at this moment.
While lying on the floor, he tapped his right foot to call Rosco’s and when the pooch showed up, Bryan grabbed his collar. Rosco then pulled his human towards the corner of the bed, where Bryan was able to hold on to a bracket and he used it to help himself up. Bryan then called 911 with his mobile phone that was on the bed.
When the EMS rang their doorbell, Rosco knew exactly what to do. When Bryan grabbed his collar again, the doggo ran towards the door, pulling Bryan behind him. It’s as if the pooch had training as a rescue dog! For saving Bryan’s life, Rosco was inducted into the Purina Animal Hall of Fame.
